Planning is everything

A social media marketing plan isn't meant to be a document written to cover 12 months and then filed away. For a plan to be effective it needs to be reviewed regularly to make sure you're achieving what you set out to. But how do you do this?⁣

Regularly monitor the results of your social media activity by using the insights data provided by each of the platforms. Benchmark your results against the targets you originally forecast. If you're on track, that's great! If not, dig deeper and ask yourself questions to find out how you can improve performance.⁣

For example, are you posting regularly enough? Is your content relevant to your target audience? Are you using the most effective hashtags? Is the format (e.g. video, image, long/short copy) right for your audience?⁣
